First time for me here. Was a birthday dinner celebration with around 80 guests. Food was on the average for me. I came in hungry but didn't actually eat much. Was it just the quality of the food or that I didn't feel comfortable in a area where I had people all around me. I think to be fair I will need to come back again and give it another try on my own.

Food is pretty good and service was very nice. Roasted pig skin very crispy and meat was tender and juicy.

Went for a private event in the upstairs space. Food was good, we enjoyed every dish. Good service as well. A few Chinese guests said the food was authentic Chinese cuisine.

Chatham Seafood Restaurant is located at 6 Chatham Square in Chinatown, NYC. Chatham Seafood Restaurant is a traditional Cantonese food restaurant that is not up to par these days. The restaurant was brought from previous owners abour 5 plus years, but unfortunately the chef for Chatham Seafood Restaurant have not brush up on his creativity. The food is fresh enough, but the taste to the dishes was quite tasteless. The Stir Fried Lobsters was a disappointment because the 3 lobsters was only about 1 pound each, and the lobsters were dying before being cooked. 2 items were specified to be out of stock, however, both items became available after 10 minutes or so. That putted the questions of whether the food was fresh or not. The food at Chatham Seafood Restaurant is also quite expensive. So in short, the food at Chatham Seafood Restaurant is definitely not worth the money they want, and one would be disappointed with dinner there.

Came here for inexpensive dimsum. The food was alright, there are better authentic spots but this was very affordable and the wait was not bad.
